VMware ESXi (pronounced ESXi) is a type of hypervisor that allows you to run multiple virtual machines on a single physical host. It is a bare-metal hypervisor, which means it runs directly on the host’s hardware and does not require an operating system to be installed first.
ESXi is a popular choice for virtualization in the enterprise because it is easy to install and manage, and it provides a high level of performance and reliability. With ESXi, you can run multiple virtual machines on a single physical server, each with its own operating system and applications, and manage them all from a central console.
In addition to virtualization, ESXi also provides features such as live migration, high availability, and resource management to help you deploy and manage your virtual infrastructure.
ESXi comes with a 60 days evolution period in this period you can use all its feature but after 60 days you need to purchase a license for it.
